Olá! I'm Thaís, a Brazilian illustrator and mixed-media artist based in Germany.

I grew up in a charming historic town in southern Minas Gerais, Brazil, surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. My childhood was immersed in the colorful and vibrant fauna and flora of this region, home to the famous Royal Road—a route that once connected small towns during the 18th-century gold rush. The blend of baroque churches, colonial architecture, and tropical landscapes has always sparked my imagination and is a constant inspiration that I celebrate through the warm colors and textures in my work.

Growing up in a family of artists, creativity has always been a part of my life. As a child, birthdays meant receiving crayons, colored paper, and endless art supplies that I took with me wherever I went. This led me to pursue a degree in Fine Arts, and a few years later, I moved to Germany for an M.F.A. in Media Art & Design.

Over the years, I have worked with many publishers and animation studios and frequently collaborated with the United Nations in several of their educational projects.

I especially love illustrating eerie stories, folktales, adventures across whimsical worlds, and, of course, exuberant nature.
