Olá! My name is Thaís and I am a Brazilian illustrator and mixed-media artist. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with multiple publishers, animation studios, and non-profit organizations, illustrating everything from children's books to e-learning training courses for the United Nations Training Center.
I hold a B.A. in Fine Arts and an M.F.A. in Media and Design, and my strong background in traditional art is always reflected in my work and way of thinking. I particularly love illustrating spooky stories, folktales, adventures across whimsical worlds, and exuberant nature! The creative process for me is all about experimentation, and I believe my work constantly evolves alongside my discoveries, attempts, and studies.

And talking about studies and processes...

My illustrated life is a project that took root in 2014 when I first started sharing my illustration work on social media. Back then, I wanted to share more than drawings and work processes. A significant part of my creative work comes from my references, personal interests, the books and objects I discover along the way, the people I meet, and the movies I watch.
However, I felt that the format of social media was limiting me from fully exploring what I had in mind, and decided to set My illustrated life aside. Now, almost 10 years later, I feel like it is the perfect time to bring it back to life as I always envisioned -  in the form of a newsletter.
If you share my passion for illustration and art in general, consider signing up for my newsletter below. You will hear from me from time to time talking about the joys and sorrows of this creative journey and sharing the discoveries I make along the way.
